The stance I take on the importance of early childhood education is the ability to provide care for families that need help taking care of their children whether it be for work or personal reasons. According to Gadzikowski (2013), more than half of the mothers in childcare are in the work force. They may need care beyond what a babysitter may be able to do. Provide an education with the ability to interact with other children for example. From birth to age five are the most critical years for brain growth and growing cognitive, social, emotional, physical, and self-help skills that are needed to be successful in life Gadzikowski (2013) having a place for those skills is essential in the learning process.

The responsibilities of an early childhood education leader in managing operations, coaching staff, and building community can vary from day to day and are constantly changing. When it comes to parents the role of a leader in the education field contains but is not limited to enrolling children, questions that parents may have. The responsibilities of managing operations is hiring, supervising, and training the staff. When it comes to the community there could be a wide range of tasks that would involve the community. Holding fundraisers and writing thank you cards to the donors of those fundraisers. Priorities when it comes to my job as an early childhood education leader is first and foremost the safety, happiness, and education of the students. Next would be the parent’s happiness and safety. Thirdly making sure that all the curriculum is being met by the staff and that rules are being followed with teaching the children. Fourthly would be accepting money from donors to make the program a success. In order to balance this time would be set aside each week to do random checks on teachers while also balancing the paperwork aspect of the job.
