Sampling
- Describe the sampling method you will use. Most students will use a convenience sample, but if you want to use another method, also describe that method.
- How will you find participants? Be specific. What is your target number for participants? You must have at least 30.
Participants
- Describe the characteristics of the participants that you are looking for (over 18, college students, general public, race, gender, etc.)
Design
- What type of data are you looking for? Attitudes? Behaviors? Experiences? Opinions? Etc.
- Describe your survey. Be sure to write survey questions that will get you the data you need to answer your quantitative research question. Be sure to avoid problematic questions (double-barreled, biased, vague, leading, etc.).
- Your survey needs to have at least 15 questions.
- You need to have at least one of each of the following types of questions: nominal, ordinal, and ratio. Specify which one of your survey questions is nominal, which one is ordinal, and which one is ratio.
- There should be at least one survey question that measures the dependent variable and at least 3 survey questions that measure independent variables.
- Provide the exact survey you will use (questions and response options)
- Be sure to have an introduction and consent statement at the top of your survey. Use the example provided on Canvas.
